How Do I Know When My Avocados are Ripe?If the avocado does not yield to gentle pressure, it is considered still “firm” and will be ripe in a few days. Firm, unripe fresh avocados will have a bright green color. This is how they should arrive after you order from Kush Farms. If the avocado yields to firm gentle pressure you know it’s ripe and ready-to-eat. Ripe, ready to eat avocados may have a darker color but color can vary so it is best to go by feel as well as color. It will feel lightly soft but it will not feel “mushy” to the touch.

What Makes Meyer Lemons Special?Meyer lemons are a small, sweet hybrid, thought to be a cross between a regular lemon and a mandarin orange. Some may actually look like oranges! They tend to be juicer than regular lemons and have a mellow, sweet flavor rather than the incredibly acidic and sour flavor regular lemons have. Meyer lemons are not available year-round like regular lemons. Try using these fruits to infuse olive oil, or in your next batch of cocktails.
